The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

I wish I knew how important facial oils were long before I did ever figure it out. I spent years avoiding any oil in my makeup and skincare as I thought it would only worsen my naturally oily skin which I didn’t want to do. What I now know is that everyone can apply a facial oil and in most cases it will do wonders for your skin.

With my own skin, it turned out that the reason I was producing so much oil throughout the day because I wasn’t getting enough through my skincare. I still do have naturally oily skin and enlarged pores so I chose to apply this Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary as it was recommended as being a great, basic oil that wouldn’t clog my pores or break me out.

I was quite nervous before I started applying this oil. I followed instructions I found online and applied a couple of drops of oil on my fingertips and then gently pat it into my skin.

I continued to follow this method and I was shocked at how quickly I was able to witness my skin change. By applying this 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary my natural oiliness reduced by at least half after barely a few weeks.

Ever since then I have always included a facial oil in my skincare routine and my oiliness has been greatly reduced. I will always have naturally oily skin however it’s much more manageable now and my skin looks healthier now that its getting proper hydration.

The formula of this Rose Hip Seed Oil is nicely thick. A couple of drops spread on my hands will be enough to pat over my face and onto my neck. It does have a slight yellow cast in the bottle however it goes on completely clear. There is also a slight scent from the bottle that actually just reminds me of a cooking oil! However that too is completely unnoticeable when you only use a few drops.

Overall I loved the formula of this oil and I loved the results it gave to my oily skin. I have since tried many other facial oils and this one still remains one of my favourites. Even when compared to more expensive formulas.
