Swisse Echinacea Clear Skin Moisturiser

Seeing as I finished this not too long ago I thought I’d give my thoughts on its formula while the memory is still fresh in my mind.

I’d never thought about Swisse having a skincare line, I’d never encountered their products until this but when I first saw this moisturiser and read it’s packaging it sounded like a dream come true.

Blemish control, oil control and pore refining. My three main skincare concerns all being handled by the one product, I couldn’t wait to try it.

The Formula

To start with, the formula of this moisturiser was unlike anything I’d used before. It was thin and slippy, almost slimy, and took a little effort to work into my skin as it seemed to slide across the surface rather than sink in.

Because of that slippy, slimy formula a little went a long way. If I used too much it wouldn’t quite sink in and would leave a tacky, sticky feeling to my skin. It also meant that the lid of the tube could get a little messy which I wasn’t a fan of either.

As for its blemish and oil control I can’t say I noticed any positive changes to my skin. Granted I have very oily, blemish prone skin however seeing as that’s exactly what this moisturiser is supposed to improve I was disappointed to see no change.

The Review

I used this moisturiser every morning and sometimes also at night for around 4 months which should be more than enough to see the effects of this cream take place and I saw no significant change. So all in all I was quite disappointed by the performance of the formula and seeing as it also wasn’t the easiest to apply or nicest feeling on my skin, I wouldn’t buy this again.
