I can’t believe we’re into September already, this year feels like it’s gone so fast and yet taken forever to go by.

Makeup
e.l.f. Sweat Resistant Mascara & Brow Duo
While I loved this mascara I wasn’t a big fan of the brow gel, the spoolie was very flimsy and constantly felt like it was about to snap off. The brow gel itself had little to no hold. The mascara on the other hand was black and volumising and it had the slightest flaking but no smudging or smearing. It’s been one of the best mascaras I’ve used in that regard.
Ultra Violette Sheen Screen SPF50 Lip Balm – Shimmer
With previous SPF lip balms I’ve found that they can have significant white casts but this Ultra Violette Sheen Screen Lip Balm has been one of the best I’ve tried. It could still sheer out my lips a little but nothing too bad. Overall it had a hydrating formula with a subtle scent and taste that I didn’t mind and it kept my lips soft and protected.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
This ABH Brow Gel has a lot of good reviews but I don’t have good things to say about it. I really didn’t like this gel. The spoolie was quite large and dispensed a lot of gel into my brows. If I tried to use the spoolie to shape my brows it would keep adding more and more gel until my brow hairs were sticking together. It was also difficult to remove, even with an eyemakeup remover this would clump and stick and I lost a few brow hairs just trying to take it off.
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
I bought a mini of this Tarte Shape Tape Concealer to try and I’m glad that I did because this didn’t blow me away with its performance. It’s easily comparable to the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer which is much cheaper. This creased on me and showed texture very easily. It wasn’t showstopping pigmentation or performance. Just an average concealer in my opinion.

Skincare
Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Cream
My skin can be reactive to fragrances and essential oils so I wanted to try this Simple Water Boost gel cream as it’s supposed to be suitable for all skin types even sensitive skin. Unfortunately I still felt a couple of times like this was irritating to my skin. As for it’s moisturisation, it was a lightweight texture in between a gel and a cream that wasn’t too heavy for my oily skin. A good, basic moisturiser but I still think it irritated my skin a little.
Burt’s Bees Skin Nourishment Gentle Foaming Cleanser
I bought this impulsively as I needed a cleanser and this was the first one I saw. It impressed me as I don’t know how many months this lasted me as I honestly lost count. I don’t know how it lasted that long but it was a good, basic foaming cleanser. My skin would feel clean and soft after using this and the formula never irritated my skin.
Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash
As a result of my struggles with acne I researched for a while before I bought this Dermalogica wash hoping that its formula would be targeted towards reducing breakouts. Unfortunately I didn’t notice any change in my acne or breakouts. As for the formula it was a generic gel texture that would foam up well.

Bodycare
QV Intensive Body Moisturiser
I bought this tube of intensive moisturiser to heal my hands when they were dry and cracking during the worst of Winter. My other hand creams all stung upon application and didn’t seem to be healing my skin. Within a week of using this QV Intensive Body Moisturiser my hands were nearly healed and never once did this irritate my skin, even when it was badly cracked.
Zoella Fruits Berry Jam Body Scrub
This is the second time I’ve used this body scrub as it’s a good basic that I can grab if I can’t find anything better. The physical scrub particles vary in size and shape and I find the larger pieces to be a little too harsh, luckily there aren’t a lot of the large pieces in the formula.
