Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer Light Review

This bronzer is a cult favourite in the beauty world so when I saw the line had a shade for lighter skin tones I finally bought one to try.

As I do have quite pale skin I can struggle a lot with finding a bronzer that doesn’t wear orange on me. This Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer comes in a variety of shades including a Light Bronzer.

The packaging of this powder is a little unusual, coming in a compact with two compartments. On top is the bronzer powder and that pan lifts up to reveal a mirror and applicator underneath.

The Formula

I personally didn’t like the applicator provided so I use my own brush. I also don’t find the mirror easy to access, it’s a little complicated to use the bronzer then flip that pan up and use the mirror on the back of it. So both of those additions were a waste of space and money in my mind.

The bronzer powder is pressed into a wavy pattern to match the tropical theme of the packaging. Also matching that theme is the bronzers strong scent, it makes me think of coconuts and pineapple.

As for the formula of the bronzer, it’s very soft and smooth. It’s aptly named the butter bronzer because it applies so effortlessly. Using a bronzing brush I can pick up the powder and buff it into my skin with no concerns about patchiness or texture.

The formula does have a matte finish however it’s one of those incredibly natural mattes with the slightest satin effect to mimic my natural skin. It’s such a buttery formula that I can build the pigment and it will still blend into my skin without looking powdery or caking up.

The Review

Once applied this bronzer will wear nicely throughout the day. It will fade slightly with time (like all makeup) however its pigment lasts well and wont break apart or stick to any texture.

As for how the shade, Light Bronze, works on my skin tone; it’s one of the easiest bronzers in my collection to use. If I really layer and layer the shade it will run a little warm and orange however if I’m on the go I can easily pack some powder on my brush and buff it into my skin knowing that it will blend out and not look overdone.

Overall I do like this Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in the shade Light Bronze. Its formula is so smooth to apply and doesn’t look powdery on my skin. The shade is great for my pale skin and I know I can slap it on without worrying about looking orange.
