This seemed to be a cult classic eye pencil from the amount of reviews and influencers recommending it and so when I saw one in store I added it to my purchases without hesitation.
This NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil is an eyeliner that doubles as an eyeshadow and, as it says in the name, it’s a bigger and thicker version of a normal eyeliner pencil.
I chose the shade Milk as it was one I’d heard about a lot online and wanted to use it to brighten my eyes and double as an eyeshadow base to brighten other makeup looks.
The formula of this eye pencil is very smooth and decently pigmented. It glides onto my waterline and eyelids with ease however I do have to make a couple of passes to build this up to full pigmentation.
However, once applied I cannot get this to last. On my waterline it will gradually fade within an hour to the point where it looks too patchy and worn to really have much of an effect.
On my eyelids this never seems to set down, it’s a creamy liner however unlike many other eyeliners it seems to stay creamy, even over an eyeshadow base. Because it never sets down this eye pencil will then smudge and crease on my oily, hooded eyelids.
This pencil has been a good example of how there is no one product for everyone. Despite the amazing reviews I have read about this online, it performed terribly for me. I can’t use it as an eyeliner or eyeshadow and so, for me, I wouldn’t recommend this.
