Now, I know it doesn’t get too cold in Australia even during Winter however it’s enough of a shift in weather that I like to adjust my makeup bag to suit the drier months.
Because I have naturally oily skin I tend to avoid too many cream products during the hotter months as their naturally dewy finish can leave me looking like an oil slick at the end of a humid day. However when the weather starts to shift into the drier, cooler months I leap to my cream products that can now provide my dulled down skin with a glossy boost of natural looking shine.
So when I recently pulled out my cream products to take for an overnight trip I thought I share with you how my makeup choices have changed with the new months.
To pack for a quick over night bag for a natural look I’ve chosen a small group of base products to give me a little glow and some smokey warmth.

My Winter Makeup Bag
-
L’Oreal Infallible Eye Paint Breathtaking Brown
-
RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up Shade 000
-
Flower Beauty In Your Prime Pore-Minimizing Primer
-
Sephora Collection Cosmic Glow Highlighter
-
Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops – Bubbly
The RMS “Un” Cover-Up is a foundation and concealer in one however it has a base of coconut oil and beeswax that means it will melt into the skin and with my natural oils I can look very greasy on a hot day. However in the cooler, drier months it’s perfect for brightening my skin and giving me a glowy effect even on a dull day.
Over that RMS base I like to apply the Sephora Cosmic Glow which is basically a clear gloss with some silver glitters throughout. I will pat that onto my cheeks for a lovely glass skin effect and then over that I will brush on some of the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb to blend every thing into each other.
The end result of those few products is a glowy, glass skin effect that gives my dry skin a lovely boost that I often can’t pull off during Summer so I make the most of it during Winter!
