I’ve been getting back into the swing of makeup this month. I’ve also needed to change the products in my routine as it’s been getting colder and colder and my skin has been drying out, so you’ll see a lot more cream products below.
There are also a few new products that I’ve been trying out this month so look forward to some more reviews coming soon.
Makeup In Rotation in July
e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer
SAVVY by DB BB cream
e.l.f. Active Sweat Resistant Mascara & Brow Duo
Mirenesse Stick Up & Glow Cream Blush (depotted from original packaging)
The e.l.f. primer is a new addition to my collection and I’ve been using it to smooth over my sunscreen to allow my foundations and concealers to wear nicely.
Speaking of foundations I’ve actually foregone both foundation and concealer and have been wearing the SAVVY BB cream as a lighter more glowy base. So far I’ve been very impressed with it.
The RMS Luminizer is an old love of mine that shines (get it) during the Winter months when I turn to powders instead of creams.
I’ve also been enjoying the e.l.f. Active Mascara for long days when I need staying power that won’t smudge or flake. This mascara isn’t the biggest or most volumising but I get black lashes that last all day.
Finally I’ve been steadily working through the cream blush from Mirenesse that I depotted from its original packing. It initially came in a stick form split half with blush and half with highlighter. I hated the highlighter formula so I removed that half and have been using the cream blush which I much prefer.
That’s all for this months makeup in rotation. I think I’m getting close to hitting pan in the Mirenesse blush so that’s exciting! Aside from that I think it’s going to be cream products for a while longer as we go through our colder months here in Australia.
