Makeup In Rotation During April

April has been a strange month due to the impact of the Corona Virus on my normal routine. I am now spending my days at home in isolation as per health professionals recommendations. However that has not stopped me from wearing makeup entirely though it has changed the type of makeup I’ve been reaching for and using.

My Makeup In Rotation During April

As you can see from above I have shifted towards using more cream products than I have previously. I hadn’t realised it until I was taking these photos and after thinking about it for a while I realised that my makeup lately hasn’t needed to last all day.

While I love the effect of cream products they just don’t have the same lasting power on my oily skin as a powder product would. However it’s not an issue for me now if my makeup will have faded after 8 hours. I’m not going anywhere, no one’s seeing my makeup anyway.

So without needed my makeup to last all day I’ve been using more of my cream products lately and I must say I’ve been loving their results. Truly, for a natural looking finish cream products win against powder. My skin has been looking glowy and natural all the time as the main products I’m applying for my face and cheeks are creams.

In fact, I’ve been loving my cream products so much lately that I am going to try and find a way to incorporate them into my routine more often. If that means powdering my face more throughout the day or using a mattifying primer, I don’t know, but I’m going to spend the rest of this month getting my makeup routine to a point where I’m comfortable that the products will take me through a whole day looking great.
