I’ve been using a micellar water for years now and this is the latest formula to come into my collection.
This Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water caught my eye as it was the first time I’d seen a “milky” formula. I didn’t know what that meant so when I read the label and found that it hydrates and comforts dry and sensitive skin I was hopeful that I could incorporate it into my routine.
While I wouldn’t classify my skin as dry it can become sensitive, especially around my eyes, when I’m removing my makeup and so a nice, gentle micellar water might be able to aid in that process.
So I bought a bottle to try and having now finished that bottle I can safely say that I wont be buying it again. This formula was a lot thicker than their original formula, it made for a very gentle and creamy application that removed my makeup nicely however as it was so milky it could sometimes leave a film on my skin that would require a second pass over with a cotton pad to fully clean my skin.
I also found that due to the thicker, milky formula I was using more of the product to soak a cotton pad than the normal, thinner consistency of their regular formula. I definitely went through this bottle faster than any micellar water I’ve used before so it’s also not the best bang for your buck.
In the end I would only buy this if I had skin that was too sensitive for the normal micellar water. I didn’t like the finish of this milky version nor did I like how quickly I went through the bottle.
