I suffer from frequent breakouts throughout the month and so I always like to have some sort of spot treatment available in my skincare collection.
These COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches seem to have a huge cult following online and plenty of positive reviews so I was really hoping they would be able to help me with some of my particularly bad spots.
The idea of these patches is to apply them to a pimple to protect the area from getting worse and to maintain the humidity of your skin to prevent further breakouts.
That all sounds great in principle however in application I had a bit of trouble getting these patches to work for me.
The main issue for me is that I can’t get them to stay on my skin. I’ll try and press them down however often I find they’ll fall off if I move around too much. They’re supposed to stay on overnight I think however mine will never last that long.
I also don’t like how few patches you get in a packet. There are 24 patches which might sound like a lot but for someone like me who has a lot of breakouts and spots, I go through this packet in a month.
The patches themselves feel like a soft plastic almost. They’re also mostly clear however they do have a little colour and I think they’re noticeable on my skin. I don’t ever wear these out and about. I’ll add a photo below showing you how they look when applied.
As for how they treat my pimples, they seem to soften the skin and draw the impurities out however it’s not an overnight fix for me. I do think they speed up the process reduce redness better than most other spot treatments I’ve tried.
Overall I do think these patches provide a significant improvement in the healing process of my breakouts. Even though they are a little tricky to apply and stick down they are one of the best spot treatments that I have tried for treating pimples.
