This was one of the first products that I ever bought from Colourpop, I’d been interested in their Super Shock formula since it was released and this shade of highlighter kept being mentioned as one of their best.
Colourpop is aimed at being an affordable makeup brand and so this highlighter containing 4.2g of product costs USD$8.00.
Packaging
The packaging is very minimal and practical. The highlighter is housed in a white plastic container with a clear screw on lid and that’s about it.
What I really like about the packaging design is how much surface area of highlighter it gives you, there’s plenty of room to swirl a big brush around which I find to be quite handy with my quick method of makeup application.
Product Performance
The stand out of this highlighter is the Colourpop Super Shock formula. It’s difficult to describe, half way between a cream and a powder, it’s a little like putty; very smooth and buttery to apply.
The way I like to apply this highlighter is to swirl a brush around the pan a couple of times and then buff into my skin. It works well over both cream and powder products so it’s a brilliant formula.
The colour of Flexitarian is a silvery, champagne that works perfectly over my skin tone and looks like a very natural highlight colour for me.
Another thing that I love about this formula is that it doesn’t contain any chunks of glitter, instead it’s a very smooth and glossy finish that can be built up from a natural glow to a high impact shine and will wear well throughout an average day.
This highlighter also looks beautiful on my bare skin, the formula being a little buttery means the highlight will almost melt into my skin and leave behind a beautiful glow.
If you’ve tried this formula of highlighter I’d love to know your thoughts on their performance. Or if you’ve tried the formula in a different shade, I’d also like to know if you have a personal favourite so please leave a comment below!
