I love colourful eyeshadow.
I love makeup when it closer resembles art than any sort of traditional beauty. However that’s not always a practical style to wear when going about my day to day business.
So over the past year I’ve been slowly working my way into colours and thought that I would show you guys a few of my favourite ways to rock some colourful eyeshadow.

Highlighted Colours
This is the quickest and easiest way I wear colourful eyeshadow. The only requirement is that the shade you choose needs to have shimmer or shine to it.
For this look I place the eyeshadow along my brow bone and inner corner of my eye to draw the light there and open up my eyes.
I typically use a lighter toned shade however I also think a dark one would be really cool too. Sometimes I’ll even use a coloured highlighter for extra shine!

In the Crease
This is another quick and easy one.
For this look I’ll choose the colour I want to wear and place it in along the crease of my eyelid to form a line along the socket of my eye.
Due to my hooded eyelids when I open my eyes some of that colour gets hidden away so depending if I want people to see that colour all the time or just when I’m looking down will depend on how much eyeshadow I apply.
It’s a really cool look and I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

Monochromatic Colour
The word monochrome is often mistaken for meaning black and white, however what monochrome really means is varying tones of only one colour.
So when I wear a monochrome eyeshadow look I might choose three different shades of purple and work them into a look.
I really like this method for wearing colourful eyeshadow because it allows me to be creative without going overboard and trying to wear eight different colours on my eyes at once.
Those are 3 of my favourite ways to wear colourful eyeshadow, I hope they gave you some new ideas for wearing the brighter shades!
