I always like to have a cleanser handy in my shower and this Clearasil Ultra 5 in 1 Exfoliating Scrub was the latest for me to try.
I’d heard of Clearasil many times before but had never bought anything from their skincare range. I know they’re aimed at acne prone skin which I do struggle with however nothing of theirs had really piqued my interest enough until this cleanser.
I’m a big fan of multitasking skincare products so this 5 in 1 Exfoliating Scrub sounded like a great way to target a lot of my skin issues in the one cleanser.
Unfortunately, from the moment I opened the cap I was put off by this formula.
The scent was so chemically that I didn’t know if I wanted to put it on my skin. The formula also looked way too chemically for me. It was almost metallic and shiny and an odd blue/silver colour. The texture of this cleanser was like a spongy cream that was hard for me to work into a lather.
I did end up using this every morning until I had finished the tube but I can’t say I noticed any improvement in the clarity of my skin or reduction of my breakouts so I won’t be trying this brand again.
